Anchor Script:

Megan: Hey Eastview Welcome to the Flash!  I’m Megan and this is Nick.

Nick: (yawn) Man I’ve been so tired recently! today I came to school with out shoes on.

Megan:  Me too         !... I cant even keep my eyes open

Nick: These finals are killing me... I was up all night studying

Megan: Same here...  I will just be happy when the Quarters over


Nick: With the start of a new quarter coming soon many of you will be taking new classes. There are so many different options out there for you to choose from, such as acting. Maggie met up with some people taking acting to figure out why it is a good class to take.


ACTING STORY


Nick: thanks maggie! sounds like an interesting class. I will be sure to get that put into my schedule. 


Megan: Another class that would be fun for you to take is Dance Tech. Kenzie talked to some of our peers to find out whats happening in dance tech this quarter.

Megan: Thank you Kenzie. Dance tech is such a fun class! If you aren't in it right now you should consider taking it next year!



Nick:  Around school, you may have seen various sign-up sheets on walls or classroom doors. The names are on those sheets are called volunters. Allison helps explain why so many Eastview students are getting involved in community service.

Nick:  So, Eastview, don't be shy! Getting involved is easy and it's a great way to help the people around you.


Megan: All this talk is getting me excited for the new opportunities to come next quarter.


Nick: Me two!... I just have to get through this week.

Anchor In: The rise of twitter has affected Eastview over the past couple month. It has become one of the most popular social networks on the web. Megan went to go and see what eastview thinks about this.

       She might take away from the story.

       That she is still living and that she was two weeks pregnant and the baby lived and is healthy.

       That it was a positive ending.

The death of Steve Jobs was very sad. Even though it was some what known that he was going to die soon because of his cancer it was still a shock in some ways. He was the ceo of Apple but just resigned a couple weeks ago and then died yesterday. Some things that I wonder is how the Apple company is taking this all and if it will cause any problems with Apple products.

I read an article called "Facebook users be ready for more changes." It was about how just this Tuesday if you logged on to facebook it was different and we were not aware of the changes being made The article said to be ready because facebook is making many new changes all the time because the want to be better than their new competitors google+.

I think it annoying that they always change facebook. They should at least send us a notice in advanced. Also they should somehow teach us how to use it because i have no idea how to work it now.

The article tells us why food looks better when we are hungry. They did a test on 14 students to figure out the answer.  The results were that it had to do with low glucose and somehow it connects to your brain. The reason why junk food always looks the best is because it is very high in glucose and your brain tells you that you want it.

Ruby Bridges is one of the girls that helped end segregation in public schools. She grew up in the 1960's during the civil rights movement. And was born in the 1950's. The reason why her life was significant was because when she was six she ended segregation in public schools. during that time her and her family went through alot and got alot of trouble from people.

Questions

1. a. tell you the answer they want you to hear.
    b. explain the answer
    c. blurt out a soundbite

* let the silence grow and wait until the answer gets longer of the person adds to there answer.

2. The non-question/ questions would be like... "Wait a minute, the two of both had a crush on natalie."
Observation not a question but it got everyone to admit it and the kids to warm up to the interviewer. You get the soundbites simply by asking the non-question/ question.

 A teacher in Bloomington Minnesota was one of the three teachers in Minnesota that got the Presidential Awards for Excellence. I think its really cool how she get to go to the White House and get to eat lunch with the president if she get nominated #1. I like how this teacher teaches in a creative way.That is part of the reason why she got choosen. Its neat on how close it is to us.

Mitchell Johnson, 13, and Andrew Golden, 11 shot there classmates and teachers at Jonesboro, Arkansa. Golden asked to be excused early from class and went and pulled the fire alarm then quickly ran out in the woods to hide with Johnson. When everyone evacuated the school the two boys fired and killed four teachers and students. 10 others were injured. We aren't really sure why they did it but some of the people they shot at were aimed for because of past experiences. Also the kids were just violent people to start off with.

Angle:  I would want to interview the parents of the kids that shot the people.

Justin Bieber is workin hard on his new Christmas album with Shawn Stockman that is coming out this year. He is also getting ready to go on tour in the next month. He's traveling to South America and Mexico.

I am cant wait to hear his new album!! I hope he has some new songs on it along with original Christmas songs.

I read the Article where the man from Wisconsin hit his dog with a bat four times and killed him. I thought this was a really sad story  for many reasons. One would be because why would you even want to kill or hurt your dog in the first place. And second how could you sit there hitting it with a bat and watch it slowly die. I have no idea how you coulddo that not feel guilty about it. The only good thing is that this man was charged for felony mistreat of animals causeing deaths. And many more charges.

I think that this is good idea. Im sure alot of people would use it. Although after a while I feel like it would be over used and people would start getting sick of it. If they do make this I think it would become a big hit. GooglePlus would do really good in buisness but I think after a while it would start to go down in buisness.

9/11 report (opening Actividy)

10 years and one day after the tragic event on 9/11/01 the memorial for 9/11 opened. It is located the same place where the twin towers were located. On sunday it was open for families who lost a loved one, which they could come and put flowers or othere things near thier  name and come re-unite with the person they lost. Today it was opened to the public to see the memorial. Many people such as Obama spoke at the event. there was a big ceramony for this devistating event

There have been atleast 17 burgalaries in southern Minneapolis from Aug. 30 to Sept. 5. The burgalaries consist of stolen jewlery, cash, bicycles, a rifle and ect. The burgalers get through from breaking windows or prying open garage doors. The police found finger prints and are looking for the suspect but havent had any luck but they are still searching.

Rachel Ericksen has many interests. One is traveling the world to places such as Rome for inspiration for her future. Her dream is to become an architect.


In the future Rachel wants to travel the world for inspiration for when she becomes and architect.

News Article Summary

A Russian hockey team with a formal wild player got in a jet crash when they were flying to play a big game. The jet ran into a riverbank moments taking off on Wednesday. 43 people were killed and two others were severly injured. many people are pitching in to help with the devistating accident.

Rachel Ericksen's Interview

Rachel Ericksen is a unique individual. She has many actividys she is involved in. For example she is currently on the lightning dance team and is very involved with her church. Somethings she likes to do is watch movies and spend time with friends and family. Somethings you may not know about Rachel is that she has a phobia of people touching her neck. Also her grandpa lived in finland and came to America when he was 13. When he got older he wrote a short story about finish war children.One thing I found interesting was that when Rachel gets older she would like to travel the world for about five years and travel to places such as Rome to get inspiration from the roman buildings look at the roman buildings because she would like to become an architect. All of this is what makes Rachel Ericksen a unique individual.
